I think it is pretty well established that too much of anything can harm you. Look at water for example. A lot of people are dehydrated and need to drink more water, but if you drink too much you can throw your body out of balance and do damage. With chemicals that haven't been well studied for human ingestion I think it is reasonable to be more conservative.
Chlorous acid (what activated Miracle-Mineral-Supplement makes) and chlorine dioxide are very reactive. They oxidize whatever they come into contact with. If you take a strong solution and add juice or food to it, a reaction takes place that uses up a lot of the solution. You end up finding it more agreeable to take because it ends up being a weaker solution. I think it is better to simply settle for a weaker solution to start with and mix it in water.
As far as trying to walk in health goes, I think the answer is to have a balanced body.
