Sodium chlorite activates in the presence of an acid. If you ingest a dilute sodium chlorite solution (unactivated Miracle-Mineral-Supplement ) it is activated by the acids in your stomach.

While there are no studies on this, I look at the difference between an activated and unactivated solution in the following way. If the problem is in the mouth, throat, or stomach, an activated solution may be more effective. If the problem is further down the GI tract, activating in the stomach with stomach acid may be more effective.

Chlorous acid (what activated Miracle-Mineral-Supplement makes) and chlorine dioxide react with many minerals including iron and sulfur. Long term use of these chemicals has the potential to throw the mineral balance of the body off.

Many people have noticed, and I think it actually makes sense, that they experience benefits for a few days, then start to go down hill. It may be that pulsing may be the most effective way to use oxidation therapy. Oxidize the heck out of yourself for a couple of days, then spend a few weeks cleaning up any damage and rebuilding your body.
