Re: Menopause, hormones and periods every 3 weeks
Please check you iron and irn FERRITIn (stored iron) levels if you haven't done so. You could be iron ferritin deficient. This happened to me and by the time I got help(My GYN said " No problem, you got great hemoglobin levels") my stored iron was 6! It is supposed to be 90! My GUYN was so uniformed she did not even know what ferritin was when I told her a Endo found this problem.
you must take iron if you lose alot of blood. I am still after a year, struggling to bring up my iron levels. It is very difficult when you are losing blood and you sound just like I did a year ago.
Good iron supplement : Angstrom Iron (google it) or theres some others like this, micro minerals that are instantly absorbed and do not go through the intestinal tract. no constipation or problems. Took me months to find this and it has been a life saver. My ferritin level is finally moving upward.
Alos, have a vaginal ultrasound to look for uterine fibroids, which can cause heavy bleeding. I did not have this, but you should look anyway.
Best of luck and good wishes
