Yes, God wrote the ten commandments. He also wrote the marriage command to have only one wife and one husband that we see in the new testament. But was that a command in the old?
David was severely disciplined for committing adultery, but not for having many many wives. Why? Because it wasn't a command in that time period not too. Not that God was happy that that went on, but he didn't command against either.
The point is, the laws and covenants with God's people have changed. That doesn't mean God has changed. It doesn't mean he messed up. He just planned it that way for a purpose before the foundation of the world.
Heb.8:7-8: “For if that first covenant had been faultless, then no place would have been sought for a second.”
Adam to Moses:
There was no Leviticus priesthood, Sabbath, baptism or Lord's Supper
(can you show where there was a command to keep the Sabbath before Moses?)
Moses to Christ:
No baptism or Lord's supper
Christ to second coming
No Leviticus priesthood, Sabbath or animal sacrifices
