you're the perfect example of why facts need to be checked.
classic example of using a fact here a fact there to "prove" a point you want made. i'm glad you aren't teaching economics at any public university. maybe you are. raising taxes hurts an economy, any economy. you obviously didn't grasp that back in the day, your school days, that is. when you up my tax bill, i spend less, the economy doesn't get my money for that new car purchase. you think that's good, no, it's bad. the guy who puts the car together doesn't get my business, thus, he gets laid off. then he gets on the gov'ment dole which the taxpayer who is making less, is forced to pay. but guess what, that taxpayer is now making less so the gov'ment runs more and more in debt to pay for the autoworker's handout. basic econ 101, friend.
raise my taxes, i'll spend less, product prices tank and go for pennies on the dollar instead of appropriate pricing levels. i don't a single soul out there who wants to be taxed more out of their paycheck in order to pay for debt service...not a one. where's that line of folks? no where to be seen. idle talk, your convincing just took a turn for the worse.
