Sorry, just now getting to this...Re: I ***LOVE*** Detox Baths!...Re: Detox baths

The film may be the water texture, but it may be you expelling "stuff." Hard to say. It's interesting to me to see the layer of tiny bubbles that form on my skin in the tub.

Yes, get all the way down in the water as far as you can. You can use a soaked towel to cover up whatever part of you is sticking out of the water. Make sure the water is as hot as you can possibly stand, and if it starts to cool off, add more hot water. You want to sweat like the dickens while you are in there, like you were in a sauna. Stay in for 20-30 minutes if you can, but I don't think it hurts to go longer. I put an egg timer on the tub side just to make sure I'm in there long enough.

My heart rate does elevate when I do these baths. I used to be frightened about this. However, I brought a watch in with me with a sweep second hand, and noticed my heart rate only went up to 118-120... the same as when I work out. If anyone reading this has any concerns about an elevated heart rate, you can do two things: either check with Uny and see if she thinks it would be a good idea to do these, or keep a handy dandy bottle of cayenne tincture and lobelia tincture with you.

I usually put my hair up in a claw to keep it out of the way. If you want to, you could do a hot oil treatment for your hair while you're in the tub... I've done it a few times. I use coconut oil, but I'm sure you could use any organic plant oil (olive, hemp, etc.).

When you are ready to get out, rinse off real fast with all the way cold water from the shower head for a minute, if you can stand it for that long.

I learned how to do these from my Moreless friends. There are some really good people on that forum.

I guess these baths are one of those things where if you need them, they will be amazing for you, and if you don't need them, you might think "meh."

One side remark- now that I've done hundreds (yeah, probably) of detox baths, I'm not afraid of the Cold Sheet Treatment at all.
