...If veggies come up like weeds, it means that all the other necessary conditions are in place, like exactly the right soil micro-organisms, and available aquafer (groundwater).
I've got some hazelnuts (filberts) to plant. I kept them in the pockets of the car door all winter, knowing that they would ripen and mature in the cold of our carpark.
Sometimes others put seeds in the freezer, to simulate winter.
They say that food prices will rise dramatically...although I imagine that the big food processors will work hard to control our buying habits.
Scattering hardy heritage seeds and allowing seeds to self-replant as Chiron suggests, may become our saving grace.
