For the Bacillus Subtilis curious

http://www.mcb.harvard.edu/Losick/Pubs/documents/Earl%20and%20Losick%20Ecolog...

Trying to decide what to do when my threelac arrives. One packet contains 500 millions cfu's of B. Sub. Thinking about taking it 1/2 a packet at a time together with some other probiotics I have on hand.

The overwhelming majority of peoples' anecdotes and experiences I read are positive. Described in many places as "non-pathogenic." A couple of sites list B. Sub. as a human probiotic //www.curezone.org/forums/fm.asp?i=1676236#i
(although maybe not in quantities of 500 mil CFU)...

Dr Jeff's warning is that it kills good bacteria as well, and is the basis of Bacitracin; that it's a good choice if you've got dysentery out in the desert and all you've got is camel dung.

Though I didn't read the whole thing, PDF above suggests:
-it's not really an SBO b/c it remains in spore form while in the ground.

-some strains are particularly good at forming biofilms (yikes)

Apparently SBO's fight Crohns, UC and IBS

Any thoughts?
