Metzitzah technique

Thanks for posting the information and video...I learned something new. It is said on Wikipedia:

"Less commonly practiced, and more controversial, is metzitzah b'peh, (alt. mezizah), or oral suction, where the mohel sucks blood from the circumcision wound. The traditional reason for this procedure is to minimize the potential for postoperative complications, although the practice has been implicated in the spreading of herpes to the infant."

The Rabbi on the video seems quite charasmatic yet something just doesn't sit right with me. He seemed to take too much pleasure in describing the oral ritual done upon infants.

He went on to speculate the process of circumcision invites the soul of God to descend into the infant. No Buddha or Awakened Being wants a blood offering done for their own benefit. There is one thing for sure...where there is blood there are demons or negative spirits around.
