Re: Iodine and Thyroid meds & in particular does T3 meds prevent iodine uptake??

I got it from one of Flechas' lectures. Simply stated, the amount of circulating T3 is used as a signal to the body to control the uptake of iodide. So if T3 is made artificially high, such as by taking a pill of it, the body will take up less iodine.
