What the dermatologist said..
I went to see a dermatologist last tuesday and a five minute consultation cost me 100e!! I thought i'd share with you what he said.
First,I'll tell you about myself very quickly.. I have mild
Seborrheic Dermatitis on my hairline and a little on my cheeks and eyebrows, sometimes its very good and practically non existant, like today. Othertimes its very bad, like last week when I decided to book the appointment.
I was keeping the dermatitus under control by using nizoral 2% once or twice a week and leaving it in my hair and on my face for at least 5 mins. Worked quite well at first but over time seemed to lose its effectiveness.
The dermatologist thought I was on the right track and gave me a list of shampoo's I could alternate between because skin will get accustomed to the one shampoo an its effect will be limited. The shampoo's are capasal, stieprox, selsun and nizoral. He gave me a sample bottle of stieprox and so far I like it, smells good, hair is soft which I didnt get with nizoral and most importantly it seems to work.
Well thats the basically it. Hope it helps.
