Snooz, what a fantastic post, and I agree wholeheartedly.

I think that the liberal minister, made a very big error of judgement, he thought he could play the "manufacture some outrage" game, at the expense of these refugees. It backfired very badly, and I'm glad it did. It shows that the Australian people put compassion ahead of money, and that gives me a lot of hope.

I agree, that the orphaned boy, should not be in detention at all, there is hardly going to be security issues with a child of this age. I would like to see him live with his Aunt, and out of detention. In fact I would like to see all the refugees out of detention.
