Traumatic for everyone. Thank heavens Henderson re-acted and withdrew Kid Cassidy before more damage was done.
Read not too long ago about quite a few people in Ireland abandoning their horses on a particular stretch of land outside of Dublin (?) because they could´nt afford their up-keep anymore. This was in the middle of winter. And if that was not bad enough... the story ended with one bloke looking out for young abandoned horses to sell to the butchers.
