"water only fasting", in a nutshell/and then some

"water only, according to thirst"

five simple words that have guided innumerable water only fasters.

***********************************************************

They also cover the "dry fasting" aspect, which is included in "according to thirst", as has been pointed out many times. When water is the only nourishment, besides air, there are naturally periods of (dry)"fasting", and then times when the fast is broken, just as there are for those who are eating.

For those who have subsisted on liquids other than water for years, (sodas, diet drinks, coffee etc) they will naturally be leery of the prospect of "according to thirst" since the fact is, the thirst appestat is not functioning properly. Long-term dehydration means one is rarely thirsty--and this can be especially so, with the diet soda addictions. So much depends on a person's being honest about where they are on the scale of good health and eating
habits. But IF a person is very unhealthy, and perhaps quite obese, then to apply their own thinking and habits to others is incorrect.

On the other hand, fasting on water only, without adding other things to it, and with confidence: via a knowledge of the process, will bring the system back into balance. The further out of balance it is, the longer it will take, of course.
