"Azithromycin is a good drug against M.avium but you have to take for at least 4 to 5 months.

M.avium is not a superbug. They divide very quickly so it's easy to get rid of them unlinke other slow growing hard to get rid of ( C.pneumonea)."


Sorry but I think you are mixing two bacterias here

Mycobacterium avium that mostly are found in people with reduced immune system and treated over 4 months to 1 year and

Mycobacterium avium subspecies paratuberculosis that there is very little treatment research about, most people (with no found weakness in immune system) that even have gone on 3 Antibiotics for many years are typically relapsing when going off it.
