Pine, what a great topic! I remember chewing pine and spruce gum as a kid in the lake forest, when we'd visit cousins who had a cottage; and picking wintergreen to nibble on, marveling at how it tasted better than any manufactured gum.

Have to go get some more needles for tea. Am anxious now to make some local "balsamic vinegar"
