Elimination problems

Hi all

I have done the Master-Cleanse many times but this is a first for my husband. He had a bleeding ulcer when he was 20 and the doctors performed a terrible op on him whereby his vagus nerve was cut among other things. He has found that the only thing that helps with constipation is his regular cup of coffee every morning, which of course he can't have on the cleanse. For the first couple of days he had the usual yellow liquid but this is day 7 and nothing has come out for days. It's like he absorbs all the salt and water.

We eat vegan most of the time but this Xmas we pigged out on lots of cheese, etc.

Out of desperation I am looking at a colonic for him. He has sunk into a Depression and figures all is lost and he should just start eating again.

Any suggestions out there? Thanks.
