Hi,
The liver converts the heavier estogens, even the naturally produced estrogens (or most likely the xenoestorgens (chemical estrogens) into safer, easier to eliminate estrogens (I would have to look up the names of the estrogens and conversions, and will if you would like). If the liver is backed up than that conversion process is greatly slowed down, hense estrogen excess. Heavier or early or changeing periods can be the body just eliminating those excess hormones.
I too notice those types of changes during healing.
