Re: natural pest management

 A dew others.

Marigolds planted around other plants will help repel many unwanted insects.

For mosquito control use mosquito fish or even "feeder" gold fish in larger areas of standing water.

Ants can also be repelled with cinnamon, which burns their chemo receptors.

Mixing boric acid in some jelly will attract ants and they will carry the jelly back to the queen to feed her killing the queen.

For cockroaches put a little jelly, corn syrup or coffee grounds in the bottom of a clean jar and lean the opening of the jar up against walls.  The cockroaches will climb in after the contents, but the glass is too slick for them to slide out.  When they die you have compost additive.

Don't forget making frog and toad habitats.  If in the desert attracting lizards by making habitats for them will work.

If you are going to spray make pyrenthrum sprays with a little yucca root or plain dish soap.
