Is it genuine maple syrup (not artificial maple flavoring)? It's possible you are allergic to maple. I am allergic to the tree, and I asked my allergist if I should avoid the syrup. She said it is possible that a maple tree allergy could trigger a reaction with the syrup.

OR it could be chicken eggs (to which I am also allergic AND intolerant). Pancakes use eggs as an ingredient. Tweet
