Acute pancreatitis recovery time table

My wife had a bout of acute pancreatitis but it was diagnosed right away so she has a swollen belly as a result. She is taking diaretics to help reduce it and they are working but no one can tell us how long this should take. Does anyone know about how long she can expect to have a swollen belly? Thanks Tweet
