internal staph infection due to new hip replacement surgery

Hi, My husband (69yr of age) contracted Staph during hip replacement surgery almost 1 year ago.
He has aged 10 years in 1 year.
Has anyone been able to cure Staphycocollous aureous while keeping the foreign object(hip replacement) in their body?
Surgeon wants to take it out and insert Spacer (cement embedded with anti biotics)
Leave that in for 2-3 mths, won't be able put his weight on it all that time. (crutches)
After Surgeon feels area is totally clean, he will operate again and put in a brand new hip replacement. No guarantee and 2 chances to pick up staph again.
He has had several surgeries already, intravenous anti biotics and now oral Antibiotics . Nothing has succeeded.
He is now trying OXY Miracle-Mineral-Supplement and OXY Boost.Still taking oral anti biotics.
Has anyone tried that?
Thanks
