Re: Day 3...SWF Questions & thoughts
The SWF is the most efficient way to get the toxins out of your system as it washes the whole GI tract top to bottom and not just the lower portions. After having done more than a dozen 40day MCs over the last 10 years I have found for me it's best to do the lax tea at night and SWF in the morning everyday for at least the 1st 2 weeks then I start alternating days off the tea so it doesn't become habit forming.. FYI the SWF is not unique to the MC and it is a very old Ayurvedic protocol.
After your systems empties itself of solids which usually takes 3 days or so the SWF is pretty much irridecent yellow orange water that has become "affectionally" known as "butt pee" or "shwater" ;+D round these here parts. This is perfectly normal. Generaly speaking if one is passing much solids past day 3 it is a good indication of a possibly congested colon and one should follow the MC with colon cleansing or colonics. Some have claimed that this bright yellow color is partially due to old stagnant bile but the jury is still out on that one for me. Many myself included often follow the MC with a round of Oxypowder to do a really thorough cleansing job.
Personally I don't know that I would say the cane juice lemonade is "sweeter" but I would call it mellower and smoother tasting than the over powering heavy taste of the maple syrup. Specifically the prescribed grade B which is actually considered best for cooking because of it's stronger maple flavor. I wish the cane juice was more readily available in the states as I much prefer the taste specially when making the lemonae with limes.
As for the cayenne amount as Rooth said, go for the gusto. The hotter the better therapeutically speaking. The heat index of cayenne is measured in Scolville units or HU as thats what is used in the labeling (Heat Units). The regular store bought stuff in the states in generally quite low in the 20K to 40K HU (1K=1000). According to the best known authorites of the healing properties of cayenne Dr Schulze and Dr Christopher (RIP) to have theraputic properties the cayenne needs to be in the 90K range or hotter and as they write "the hotter the better" so have at it ;+D. The question though is if what you are using is in the "capsicum" genus as it is my understanding that that is what these proponents of the healing properties of cayenne prescribe. Many experienced MC'ers round here use 1/4 tsp of the 90K stuff vs the 1/10th tsp as precribed in the original recipe.
