I saw "Food, Inc." last night.
Wow!
I hope they do win an academy award.
Well done!
But it was hard to see. I think we naturally recoil from such things for a reason...maybe because we instinctively know that we get MORE of what we focus on.
...And, baby, that's enough of that!
Those cows crowded together couldn't get a breath, partly because there was no room to expand their ribs. They were drowning in each other.
Panic affects the meat.
"Food, Inc.", is only the beginning. What we really need is 'how to do it better'...and then see the awards!
WE are the ones with the power! We can go out and grow our own.
Corporations, especially the most stubborn, will NOT hold still for less profit. Trouble is, where are they going to get the wholesome food we clamor for?
The gates will open and all we already know, and prefer, will pour through.
Talk about change! Maybe the 10 - 15 years we have left to change the world will be enough.
The most powerful, I think, will be the 'climate'...our thoughts. The corporations will notice in dozens of ways.
When you see "Food, Inc." notice the dusts thrown up by machines on the land. That's our soil micro-organisms, dying. When they die, so do we.
My best,
F.
