I dont know if it is comparable but when I remove moles with Iodine I have to paint 2-3 times a day for two months; then they are gone without a mark.

5 days seems far to little for me; the 10-20-30 times a day may be the layers you put on; paint, dry, paint again. This may work, but boy it will sting.
I sometimes put layers on like this, but only one or two.
