Treating Bipolar Disorder with medical marijuana

Hey everyone,
I was wondering if anyone has heard of any studies about marijuana being used to treat Bipolar Disorder. I was diagnosed with Bipolar Disorder about thirteen years ago and have found that smoking pot has helped me with my symptoms. Unfortunately I live in Raleigh NC currently and smoking pot legally is not an option.

Has anyone out there heard of any studies done regarding using marijuana as a treatment for Bipolar Disorder?
