Re: After a wasted year, climate change must once again be our priority.
There are so many impacts from climate change, in every area of life on this planet, that the discussion should be far more widely based.
Changes in the average global temperature, above and beyond natural variation, can cause devastation to the planets ecosystems, and all forms of life.
We are already seeing this within our oceans, with coral bleaching and death, migration of species, and with the extinction of ocean life. The same thing is happening on land as well.
Its not just the big creatures, like polar bears, that are suffering. Insects, that are key to many of our ecosystems, and food crops, are being decimated.
The pollution of our planet, causes a great deal of problems, and climate change is just one of them.
You are correct that many other issues are going unheard because of the issue of climate change, (although climate change will impact all areas of life). I would personally like to see discussion on the issues you mention, population control is a very sticky subject these days, its the elephant in the room that no-one seems game enough to talk about. Its an issue that western countries, the greatest users of resources, per head of population, must discuss.
Anyway, I hope the new year brings you happiness, peace and abundance. :)
There's plenty of discussion to be getting on with.
All the best,
