does iodine stop endometriosis?

I posted last month about pain, ovarian cysts, and Iodine supplementation and greatly appreciated the information offered. 3 weeks ago I had my right ovary and fallopian tube, along with an attached complex ovarian cyst and a lot of endometriosis removed. The surgeon left the other ovary and uterus per my pleading and request to leave everything possible. Any knowledge about if Iodine supplementation can help deter endometriosis growth? Thanks!
