happy to find this forum

6 weeks and 2 days ago, I never heard of Tietze syndrome. Much to my horror, I now am very familiar with it. Finding this forum, I feel like I am not the only one. My doctor is on vacation and no one in the "huge" office he left to take over patients have even heard of it. This means other than the urgent care doctor on duty that morning I first was diagnosed, I do not get any sympathy at the doctor's office. Learning through the internet I just tell the PA what to prescribe me and get information off the web about home care for yourself. I have found the only true relief I get is to sit in a chair NOT MOVING using a heating pad and take Ibuprophen (sp?)

If I go to the grocery store and try and carry any food bags to the car/house - that will put me back 2 days in horrible pain. I gave up and just sit. Can not lie on my back too well, first 3 weeks had to sleep in chair. I finally quit feeling guilty and have allowed my husband to carry bags, garbage and sweep/mop floors.

I have had broken bones, babies, 2 operations, and even a cracked rib. Tietze makes those experiences seem like a joyous event. Here.... I see I'm not alone - Sydnie
