Re: some more O/T

Not really off topic, this is information that everyone who cares about the planet, and their country, should know. I think its the same in a lot of countries, commercial TV is just not the place to get any real information from.

In my country, the commercial TV network's news programs, consist of 5% actual news, and 95% celebrity rubbish. Their supposed current affairs programs are just advertisements for weightloss products/surgery/diets etc, or thinly veiled bigotry towards anyone who is poor/refugee/unemployed/Muslim/non-white etc.

Commercial TV, makes you just as ignorant and misinformed, anywhere in the world. We have a great deal of information available in this world, but people really need to be discerning about what they believe, and where the information is coming from.
