Yes, you are correct. The subconscious mind cannot distinguish between the self and others, so when angry, holdling resentments towards others, the SC mind takes it "personlly".

When a person tends to fight or have internal fights, we are dealing with a possible dissociation disorder. This is considered incurable by mainstream psych. But a friend has broken the issue and it can now be easily treated.
