Can Hypothyroid caused by Adrenal Fatigue be cured?

I was wondering whether hypothyroidism caused by adrenal fatigue be cured by correcting the adrenal fatigue first and then for example taking T3 to get rid of the excess rT3 or is the hypothyroid for life?
