How to Diagnose Candida

I was wondering how most of you guys diagnose candida as your problem, my doctor informed me that there are no western medical tests which can be performed to make the diagnoses and the only test which I can seem to find on the internet is the spit test, which I’m very sceptical about. As I’ve asked people in my family (who are all healthy) to take their test, and some of their results show the string which apparently indicates Candida.

The reason I’m asking you guys is that I’ve been suffering from burning, chapped, sticky lips for the last six years, and after researching possible causes on the web the only possible cause I can’t refute is Candida.

I have tried a Candida diet for three months, and did not see any improvement, I did see a worsening of symptoms especially when taken Anti fungal herbs, and I seen this as positive assuming I was having a herxheimer reaction, however each time after trying several probiotics, I literally could not speak or laugh because my lips were in much pain, so I had to stop.

Any help will be much appreciated!
