Obama administration plans internet censorship in response to Wikileaks


It was inevitable.

The Obama administration has done nothing to stop Wikileaks, which has been publishing classified documents cheerfully since summer. It has done absolutely nothing to stop Wikileaks publishing more than 250,000 classified State Department documents that could seriously compromised diplomatic operations and national security.

The myth of Wikileaks founder Julian Assange’s persecution from the government comes from an ambiguous and apparently tactical allegation of rape made by a CIA operative in Sweden and hyped in the same mainstream media that has hyped Wikileaks documents.

His lawyer linked to the foundation of George Soros has had precious little to do other than go to a court in Britian to fight extradition to Sweden over ludicrous charges that appear to just serve to make Assange look persecuted when he is anything but. While German journalists like Harald Schumann report how magazines like Der Spiegel censored his articiles on the financial crimes and how this censorship is commonplace, Assange features on the front page of Der Spiegel online, celebrated as a hero of free speech.

Opinion polls show that 58% of Germans do not approve of Wikileaks revelation of information that endangers the functioning of a state and only 36% approve, strongly suggesting that Twitter might be telling the truth when it reports no interest in Wikileaks.
