Black stools with Coptis/Gold Coin Grass?

I have been using Coptis and Gold Coin Grass for the past week. For the past few days, my stool has turned a very dark color (almost black). Has anyone ever had this side effect with these products. On a side note, these products have been helping my liver pain.
