Mass can be neither created nor destroyed, so the term "mass destruction" is spurious.

"Weapon of massive destruction" would be better terminology. Along those lines, the one weapon of massive destruction that has damaged the american people the most, has been their own collective ignorance. Its a natural law that it be this way, just as hurricanes blow huts to bits. Its the reason "self-government" by the People can never succeed. Collective ignorance, yes, but there are groups who are not ignorant, who naturally congregate for furtherance of their own well-being, and they can end up running things as the Bible had commanded, to "subdue the earth and all her beasts", so its divinely ordained that some men are just stronger and better than others and will rule over them. If people were equal, think about it - there would be no need for any government at all. Its the inequality of the animals on the planet, including men, that make the law of the jungle supreme, that the strong will survive at the expense of the weak, regardless of whatever appearances have been attempted to have been constructed on paper documents, however noble in intent !!

MIght makes right, unless one can refute that with right makes might, but even demonstrations of the latter in the past two centuries have mostly been for show and were ultimately to the benefit of those with the Might, who understand the true nature of political power. The ignorant have none, as Jefferson himself once wrote.
