Re: Address all possible root causes of your ALL

HTLV 3 and HTLV 4 were discovered in 2005 in rural Cameroon, and were apparently transmitted from monkeys to hunters of monkeys through bites and scratches.

This is a great example of people trying to act like experts about subjects they don't know about.  HTLV 3 was not discovered in 2005.  HTLV 3 is the ORIGINAL name for the HIV-1 virus and HTLV-2 the original name for the HIV-2 virus.  Does this poster really think that HIV-1 and HIV-2 were not "discovered" until 2005?  Then why were people being tested for and being treated for HIV back in the early 1980s if these viruses had not been discovered yet?

Again the name of HTLV 1 and 2 were changed to HIV for political reasons because the medical establishment did not want people knowing that viruses caused cancers since we have things that can destroy viruses and thus actually cure cancer.

For those who want to falsely claim that the medical establishment does not know of cancer viruses read these:

I give a list of others here:

And more specifically to ALL from Medline I mentioned in the first place:

And more on ALL being caused from viruses from other medical sources:

http://www.cancer.org/Cancer/Leukemia-Ac.....cytic-risk-factors

"Infection with the human T-cell lymphoma/leukemia virus-1 (HTLV-1) can cause a rare type of T-cell acute lymphocytic leukemia. Most cases occur in Japan and the Caribbean area. This disease is not common in the United States.

Epstein-Barr virus (EBV) most often causes infectious mononucleosis ("mono") in the United States. In Africa, the virus has been linked to Burkitt lymphoma, as well as to a form of acute lymphocytic leukemia."

Few risk factors have been associated with ALL.  Those that have are:

  • Exposure to high levels of radiation
  • Exposure to certain chemicals, including benzene and some chemotherapy drugs
  • Certain viral infections, such as human T-cell lymphoma/leukemia virus-1 (HTLV-1) and Epstein-Barr virus

Introduction: Epstein Barr virus (EBV) has a unique association with several human malignancies, especially lymphoproliferative disorders, mainly lymphomas in adults. There is paucity of data pertaining to EBV association with various cancers in India . Objective : The study aims to investigate the association of EBV in childhood leukemia. Material and Methods: Patients attending pediatric oncology services of the referral center have been included in the study. Twenty-five consecutive pediatric patients with acute lymphocytic lukemia (ALL) were subjected to EBV studies employing sensitive polymerase chain reaction followed by hybridization for presence of Bam H1-W region of EBV genome and detection of anti Z EBV replication activator (ZEBRA) antibodies using Western blot. Positive control included a case of Burkitt's lymphoma and infectious mononucleosis each. Raji cells were used as positive control with each test. Results: The PCR for EBV was positive in 8/25 patients of ALL. Western blot test using anti ZEBRA antibodies was positive in 5/25(20%) cases of ALL. Considering PCR as the gold standard, 32% of the children with ALL had evidence of active EBV replication. The positive controls were consistently positive. None of the 30 healthy laboratory controls, 22 age matched disease controls, 12 cases of AML and 15 cases of multiple myeloma were positive either by PCR or Western blots assays (P < 0. 01). There was no statistically significant correlation between duration of therapy and EBV positivity (P > 0.05). Conclusion: These studies indicate that a significant number of patients with ALL show evidence of active EBV replication.

Inclusion bodies containing virus-like particles in acute lymphocytic leukaemia of childhood

A   Abstract

Distinctive inclusions seen by light microscopy in lymphoid cells of 12 of 28 children with acute lymphocytic leukemia consisted of enclosed groups of 40–100 nm virus-like particles. Similar groups were found significantly less frequently in controls (normals, acute non-lymphocytic leukaemias of childhood, non-leukaemic malignancies of childhood), while profusely populated groups (greater-or-equal, slanted20 particles in a profile), were found only in the patients with ALL. Although these groups for the most part do not resemble known viruses, some features suggest that a viral nature cannot be excluded.

This is just a small fraction of the research out there linking viruses to cancers such as ALL.  The same poster denying the existence of cancer viruses has been denying this fact because he promotes what he calls a "cancer cure" known as oleander soup.  This therapy is not only unproven and extremely dangerous if not done properly, but it does not address cancer viruses either.  So he refuses to look at the over 100 years of research proving cancer viruses exist since this would invalidate his "cure" since it clearly DOES NOT address the cause of most cancers.

This is why I encourage people to do their own research rather than take advice blindly off the internet from people who feel if they do not look for the research it simply must not exist.
