Could a massive Prednisone overdose damage the adrenals?

Hello everyone,
About twenty years ago I was accidently given an extremely large overdose of Prednisone. A nurse injected me with an amount that actually should have been lethal, and almost was. I'm just wondering whether anyone in this forum has any knowledge about what sort of long term damage this might have done. I've asked a ton of different doctors about this over the years and most weren't even aware that Prednisone could damage the adrenals..... Which is something that I still find shocking. How is it that a patient has to research the side effects of a drug and then relay that information to their physician? Anyway, I've been afflicted with terrible fatigue and anxiety ever since this incident occurred and I've never found a doctor who had a clue or even seemed to care. Can anyone offer any good advice or info? I'd be most appreciative...
