Re: Help --- don't know if it is hypothyroidism, but it is life-draining! Will do anything, just need your collective advice.
Your symptoms sound very much like what I was experiencing a couple of months ago; I went in for a pap test and checkup and the blood work showed my thyroid was WAY off, very low.
I would sleep for hours, and wake up still sleepy and exhausted. I had no energy to do even the simplest thing. Putting on water to boil was a major task.
I would start to talk to someone and have to stop and say, "I don't know what I was going to say." I know that happens to a lot of people every now and then, but I was doing it constantly. I had out of control
Depression and couldn't figure out why I was so 'down' all the time.
There was also dizziness, a feeling of faintness, and I was beginning to stammer and stutter a little bit. I'm on medication now, and feeling much better, although I suspect when I go back for a follow-up visit, the doctor will probably increase the dosage.
I'm just beginning with my interest in alternative treatments. I don't know exactly how I'll end up resolving the thyroid problem permanently. I've found a good natural healer who's helping, but I've got other issues to deal with first.
Even though your symptoms sound like mine, you need to get the blood test to know for sure. The good news is that if I'm any example, it's not difficult to get relief for this thyroid problem.
Best wishes,
