Re: Food for thought...Joe Rollino

>>"I believe all humans are genetically equal in biological functions"<<

All you have to do is look around you to know that is not true...

There would be no fat people, or sickly skinny people, bald people, chronically ill or diseased people, no cancer, diabetes, etc. etc.

All of these are a result of changes to individual genetics and biological function. We are not all *equal*.

Feed a native Inuit a vegetarian diet for long and they will develop chronic illness and disease... They are *genetically* DIFFERENT.

Did you *know* Pythagoras? I think that he did not eat *animal flesh* - what about fish, milk, eggs? Hard to say... we all know many people who claim to be vegetarian or vegan that are not... some high profile.

In addition, what was considered vegetarian then, could have been a whole different thing than what it is sold as vegan\vegetarian now.

That said... I do agree with the other points of your post... and I also agree that some people, perhaps 20% or so, CAN survive and thrive on a primarily\predominately (not totally) vegetarian diet. If you are one of them, fantastic... however, vegetarianism\veganism can be life threatening to about 20% of the population on the other end of the spectrum and health harming to another 60% and I would hate to see people sacrifice their health, and in some cases lives for such foolishness in order to *fit in*.
