FAT theory
I posed a few days ago about FAT being the culprit in candida, not sugar. I am now starting to believe this. Thing is, fat (particularly animal fat)SLOWS digestion and allows things to ferment. When you combine

Sugar tries to digest quickly to get into the bloodstream but the fat does not allow it, thus it ferments and feeds the candida. This is why some candida "experts" say to eat fruit BY ITSELF. This is so it is absorbed quickly. It is true that once fruit
Sugar is ingested it is absorbed within minutes and leaves no food for candida. Also, excess fat will BLOCK sugar from entering cells that need it once again leaving food for candida. Plus, fermenting protein means anything else that is consumed with it or after it is also going to ferment, so "safe" foods like brown rice (carbs) are also going to ferment feeding candida.
My advice, for people who have been on the diet forever with no improvement, try the 80/10/10 diet and see how it goes. What do you have to loose? Just wait a couple days after the last ingestion of animal fat to start eating a bunch of fruit. Try it for a couple weeks, if it doesn't work then oh well, I have a feeling you may be pleasantly surprised.
