Re: silicone blood test was positive! :-(

I'm glad that my post is encouraging you all to get your levels checked. If you want my entire "Mirena story", just look for the post entitled "My Mirena Hell...and What I'm Doing". That is from me. It was written before I found out that my silicone test came back positive, but you will see what all of my symptoms were, etc.

As far as one of the statements from your doctor that a silicone test doesn't exist...it sure does. Just tell him to look harder. It isn't common, but he can find the "code" for it just like the other ones, just look for a silicon test. They may not be able to take the blood right there in his office because it does have to be taken in a special, acid-free tube. My doctor just sent me over to a Senora Quest lab to run mine. Don't take no for an answer. There IS a test....many of us have run it. And, unfortunately, many of our results were showing elevated levels of silicone.

I'm about two weeks into my three-week "turbo detox" from my naturpath. It's been intense....52 pills a day (wholefood based supplements), FAR-infared saunas every day, and something that I call "liver zapping" (because my liver is pretty much trashed right now because of all of the toxins. They strap these pads on my stomach, above my liver, and turn on this machine that sends little zaps to my liver. Starting tomorrow, I am also going to try one of those ionic food baths. Can't hurt, right? I'm anxious to see how this week goes because this is my PMS week, and it is usually the week that is BY FAR the worst for me regarding the anxiety attacks, etc.

If this detox works, I PROMISE that I will post every single thing that I took and at what dose. I am 4 months post removal now, and I remember far too well all of those sleepless nights where I was here looking for answers. If this works, ladies, YOU WILL KNOW. I want us ALL to get better.

I can honestly say that I think it is working. I haven't had a single anxiety attack since I started the detox, and I haven't had any numbness issues either. Fingers crossed for complete body healing. Just think ladies, if this works, there could be a "formula" for us to follow (3 weeks) that may get us on the other side of this hell and NOT be on any medications! (I haven't had to take any of the Xanax since the detox yet, either).

Like I said, this has been an intense detox, but it will be so worth it if it gives me my life back. All of your prayers would be appreciated, and my prayers are going up for you as well. We are going to figure out how to beat this thing.

Hugs to you all.
