Re: Can I drink Evian water on a water fast?

No, using distilled water is not imperative. However, it is the water of choice because due to its purity it has the ability to carry away our bodily wastes or toxins. It also has magnetic properties...toxins are attracted to it and these are SUPER ACID...What do you think our toxins will do to any basic or Alkaline Water we drink? Do you believe that the water, not acidic by choice, will change the toxins ph in their way out, or the other way around? We all learn in grade school that water is the UNIVERSAL SOLVENT. It will assume-by definition- the nature of the substance to be dissolved in it, unless we use, beforehand, other more powerful substances.

We dont want to add stuff to our body when we fast, just the opposite.Besides, it is very easy to change our blood PH..It can change in a second with little actions or food, from alkaline to acidic and viceversa. Have you considered the effect on our blood PH of our high ketone production during the fast any way?

Some people add a few drops of peroxide or lemon to the water. Personally, I would not do it; but I don't have any problems with people who desire to do that. I know I can modify my blood ph by breathing deeper and/or other simple actions.

It is late now in my part of the world and I am tired; but I might be back later with some links about this issue. You might want to do a simple search here in our forum about it. Chris and others have talked extensively about it. ...Ah, the eternal argument over distilled water...is it bad or good? It reminds me the other older question, the one about the egg...Was it the first or the hen? I mean, there are only a handful of questions that have been around since the beginning of civilization, and that question about distilled water is one of them.

Evian water's taste is wonderful. I drank rivers of it when I was little, since it was not expensive back then in my place. I would fast with it if I had no other choice or if I had a problem with the taste of distilled water. Not the end of the world.

Regards,

Monte.
