Re: difference between tyrosine and l-tyrosine?

d and l are the different orientations of a molecule that is otherwise the same - mirror images of one-another. If a product is not labeled as either d or l, then it is a mixture of the two orientations. Oftentimes, only one of the two orientations is helpful, in which case a purified (separated) product with just the desired orientation of molecules is preferable. Sometimes the non-preferred orientation is actually toxic. In general, products labeled with either d or l are superior products.
