Candida? Heavy Metals? Parasites? Lyme? Please help - any advice is appreciated!!
Hi,
I've been experiencing major health issues since January of 2009. I went to a number of different doctors who could not diagnose me with anything. I finally went to a naturopathic doctor who told me I have candida. For the last year and a half I've been trying every candida method known to man and nothing has helped. About a month ago I was tested for heavy metals and I have elevated mercury and very elevated lead. I am currently trying to detox the lead/mercury with a product called PCA-RX. I also suspect that I probably have parasites as well.
To make matters worse, I got into a car accident recently and had to have an MRI taken of my cervical spine. The test results showed demylenation and lesions on my brain. My doctor supsected Lyme and we tested with a
Lyme lab in NY. Although my test results came back negative, I did test reactive to certain bands, particularly 18. The test also showed that my infection is not a new one, and my doctor thinks I probably have had chronic Lyme for years. He wants me to go on antibiotics to see if it helps with my symptoms, but I am hesitant because of the candida issue.
I've read that you usually cannot get rid of candida while you have toxic metals in your body so right now I am not doing anything to treat the candida, just the heavy metals, and I certaintly dont want to make matters worse by going on antibiotics. I'm just not sure where to start first in attacking these problems... do I try to treat the Lyme first, or detox the metals, should I be on anti-candida program? I just don't know where to begin.
My symptoms right now are fatigue, a horrible squeezing feeling in my head, along with brain fog/spaciness, a drunk feeling all the time, constipation, muscle twitching, and slight headaches. Any advice is appreciated.
Thanks!
