I live in winterful colorado
so finding a fix for getting the wire into my window (I have the crappy thin metal frames with no rubber seal, so If i run a wire through the window won't seal well) and still sealing out the cold is an issue .....I really don't want to deal with that complication

and for $40 you get a 20ft long cord that sticks in the ground plug of your outlet and 3 straps of different sizes for different part of the body and they are well made and adjustable
and I can easily take them with me to other parts of my house and my offices and girlfriends house

so for me that works great.
