Decalcification

I've had a decalification spot on my tooth for a long while right close to the gumline. Recently I've noticed the crater becoming larger/deeper. I guess some of the tooth has broken off. I naturally have pain in the tooth, and in the gums above it. I'm not sure if a cavity is involved. I haven't been to a dentist in ages..and really do not want to go if I don't have to. I've been oil pulling off and on for a while, but started to do it regularly, and the pain is much less in both my tooth and my gums! My gums look better too.. not as receding.

I am curious about a couple things..

1. Can oil pulling cure or prevent cavities ?

2. Has anyone been able to grow back their enamel on their
teeth from decalification? My homeopath says it is not
possible, but I would like to hear others opinions. If
someone has had success, what did you take or do?

Thanks very much.
