Note the variety of symptoms reported by people with this inherited syndrome. If you reported these to your Dr you may have been tested for Lyme Disease and if you also had non-hemolytic hyperbilirubinemia you were tested for Gilbert's. In you and your friend's case you were pos. for both. Both of you have had Gilbert's all of your life. It seems that when the body is stressed the Gilbert indicators become more obvious. It is usually a benign condition but the person is more likely to develop some cardiac problems and problems detoxifying drugs.
