Diverticulosis and Enemas

Hello Everyone,

My husband was recently diagnosed with Diverticulosis. At times he finds it hard to have a bowel movement and prefers to get a plain water enema to help things move along. He doesn't retain it at all. Just a quick in and right on the toilet is all he wants. Is this safe for Diverticulosis?
