Re: Hair loss in women

I am struggling with this too since having the Mirena IUD. My hair was thin and fine to start with, and it has just become thinner and thinner over the last couple years, especially in the front and on top. No clumps at least. I've used Nioxin, which seemed to stop the falling out, but then I ran out, and it was too expensive to buy again. Now I'm trying Bosley to see if that helps (it's a shampoo/conditioner/foam thickener). It has helped my scalp health immensely (my scalp is very smooth with no flakes or rashy areas like I had during the Mirena), and it doesn't seem to be falling out as much. But I was looking at the Rogaine at the store recently and wondering about it. I'm curious to see what Hv has to say about this topic. I'm not a vain person. My husband and kids think I look great, and that's all that matters, but it's still utterly depressing for a woman to deal with. My husband is very thin now too (he just turned 40), but that's just no big deal for guys!
